Larp Linkage

If you're looking for a new, event based fantasy LARP this year, consider Artificer LARP.

For those unfamilar with the game, it's a rich fantasy setting full of intrigue, paranoia, high society and action. A lot of games claim that. Artificer actually delivers.

The event is running on the 29th, 30th September and the 1st October at Tatton Park, Knutsford, Cheshire. £35 if you book soon. They have 50 spaces for players, but it's booking reasonably quickly, so act today.

Also, if your a northeast based LARPer, you may want to check out Dark Fables LARP

While I'm here, quick reminder that there's a UK LARP tracker on Frappr. I'd appreciate if you passed this one around a bit, as it needs people to add to it so it works.

Pagga is Closing

Mark, Ed, Chris and Foxy plan to shut Pagga down by the end of Spring.

The main reason is that it really is not as good as it should be. It's gotten stagnant and tired, and when something you've created ceases to be fun, you should go and do something else.

It's been a great ride, but as we head into our sixth year, the energy we need to keep this thing going is sadly lacking. There are many thing's we'd do differently if we'd rebooted the board, but we feel that it's time for us to stand aside.

Our current plans are to turn off the main discussion forums on May 25th 2006, we'll turn off the Campaign boards on June 5th 2006. We'll close the board to posting and turn it into an archive, the URL www.pagga.net will point to that archive and will be left at that.

Should another group wish to host the campaign boards, main archive and wiki, we'd happily make arrangements to port the content over and pass custodianship of our URLs to anyone with a serious suggestion.

It's been a blast, but all good things must come to an end
